What is the time needed to implement the AI system using SteppingEdge?

The average project duration is about 3 weeks until we have a working system in production. We scope one measurable outcome first, then develop towards that outcome and deploy into your existing system, not asking you to move to our platform. For larger deployments, we follow three-week cycles with tangible results instead of a single project with deliverables at its end.

What is the cost of an AI project with SteppingEdge?

We bill on results, not on hours spent. We start by jointly defining the success criteria and if we do not achieve them, you pay nothing for the engagement.

What happens to our data in an AI project?

The customer’s data is kept safe in their infrastructure. We deploy the models into your cloud account or on-premises infrastructure so that models work in the place where your data is stored and nowhere else.

Do you need us to have an internal data science team in order to work with you?

Most of our customers already have domain experts in the house and have no ML team, and so the project is built with this context in mind. We do the modeling, deployment and monitoring and leave the documentation and training of your engineers to run the system to you.

What industries does SteppingEdge cater to?

Manufacturing, healthcare, logistics and retail, but with the deepest experience in manufacturing, specifically visual inspection, compliance monitoring and process automation on production lines. Our initial consultation will start off with your process, rather than your industry because domain context trumps industry context.

What if the AI system fails to deliver the promised results?

We will define the outcome of the project at the start and only proceed if the outcome is measurable. This way, if we fail to deliver the agreed results, the project is free of charge. This is why we have to make sure the project is scoped narrowly.
